Olympia Business Center
The Olympia Business Center (OBC), originally built in the late 1990s, was an outdated office block in need of an entirely new spatial design to revitalise the complex and make the transition from a single tenant to a larger number of target occupants. The concept developed by CSMM added a two-storey extension to the existing building that opens up the property to the ring road using large-scale glazing, while also creating a direct connection to the large green spaces outside. This gives the foyer and the brand-new cafeteria next door a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Our team remained committed to the project’s core vision of sustainable revitalisation, not only through the consistent use of eco-friendly materials in the reconfiguration of the office space. Developed with the users’ needs in mind, the spatial concept creates flexible and communicative shared spaces that promote an open exchange among all tenants and allow innovation to thrive. The ground-floor conference area, for example, is available for all tenants to book in advance. This applies to the cafeteria as well, where tenants gather for daily meals, but also for larger events and meetings, with a series of smaller booths for deep-concentration tasks and private huddles. All tenants also have access to the newly landscaped outdoor areas and several roof terraces, which encourage chance meetings and a vibrant exchange of ideas.
