Wine-tasting with country identification
To get in the mood for 26 May 2019, CSMM founder Timo Brehme dedicated a wine-tasting session in Munich to the European elections.
Which country does the wine come from and which indigenous grape variety gives it its taste? An extremely enjoyable but not that simple task, as there are around 320 indigenous grapes in Italy alone.
All the wines on offer had been certified as organic. Timo selected three white wines and three red wines from amongst the 28 EU countries – and there were plenty of nuances on offer, ranging from an Austrian ‘Green Veltliner’ to a Spanish Rioja.
The guests enjoyed a very informative and inspiring evening
