topping-out ceremony for landN on Landwehrstraße
landN – Das Netzwerkhaus
Last week we celebrated the topping-out ceremony for landN. The project takes shape within an existing building on Landwehrstraße, right in the heart of Munich's station quarter.
Few parts of the city centre are changing as fast as this district. Around the new central station, one of the largest inner-city transformation areas of the coming years is emerging. With landN, we are part of that movement. After Fritz, it is our second conversion project in the area.
We retain the existing structure and carry the building's story forward by giving it a new purpose. In doing so, we add 30 per cent more floor space within the existing fabric. What makes this possible is an efficient structural design, achieved in the middle of the city and in the tightest of spaces.
The historic building becomes a networked house. We open the ground floor to the street. A café, the entrance and an event hall connect the building with its surroundings and bring life to exactly the kind of ground-floor spaces the district is looking for. The courtyard and roof are activated anew. The result is a place that brings together flexibility, proximity and urban quality.
The client is Urban Progress GmbH. Completion is planned for spring 2027.
