Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct defines the fundamental principles that guide our actions at CSMM. It ensures that we uphold the highest ethical, social, and legal standards in all areas of our work. This document is intended for all employees, partners, and stakeholders, and it highlights our responsibility towards our employees, clients, society, and the environment.

1. Code: Corporate Values and Culture
We act with integrity and maintain a respectful and fair approach in all our interactions. Open and transparent communication forms the basis of our collaboration. Through a culture of innovation and creativity, we develop forward-thinking solutions for our clients. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do: we revitalize existing buildings, rely on resource-efficient concepts, and promote the reuse of materials.

2. Code: Respect for Human Rights
We align our actions with international standards such as the ILO conventions and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We ensure safe and non-discriminatory working conditions and are committed to equal treatment for all employees – regardless of gender, age, origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.

3. Code: Workplace Culture
We foster a work environment characterized by respect and collegial cooperation. Everyone contributes to creating a positive and supportive atmosphere. We also promote equal opportunities and the appreciation of diversity, ensuring that all employees have the same opportunities for development regardless of personal characteristics.

4. Code: Safety, Employee Well-Being and Training
We ensure a safe and ergonomic working environment and train our employees to recognize hazards and work safely. Fair and flexible working hours support a healthy work-life balance, while clear regulations prevent overwork. In addition, we encourage continuous skill development through internal training and external further education.

5. Code: Prevention of Bribery and Corruption
We do not tolerate any form of bribery or corruption – neither accepting nor offering bribes is permitted. Clear guidelines on accepting gifts, disclosing conflicts of interest, and awarding private contracts ensure transparency and fair conduct.

6. Code: Promoting Fair Competition
We strictly comply with antitrust laws and firmly reject unfair practices such as price-fixing. Our procurement processes are fair and legally compliant. Through open competition and innovative approaches, we contribute to the advancement of the industry.

7. Code: Relations with Clients, Partners, Suppliers and Competitors
We value respectful and transparent relationships with our business partners, clients and suppliers. We only work with partners who share our values and uphold high ethical standards. We also promote sustainability in our supply chain by prioritising environmentally friendly products and services and pragmatically integrating sustainability criteria into our selection processes.

8. Code: Sustainability and Environmental Awareness
We focus on sustainable architecture by refurbishing existing buildings and promoting circular construction to support our clients in decarbonising their properties. Our sustainability strategy, the “Green Compass,” guides our environmentally conscious actions in projects and day-to-day office operations. We pay particular attention to energy-efficient technologies, resource conservation and CO₂ reduction in our daily work.

9. Code: Data Protection and Digital Responsibility
We act in compliance with the GDPR and relevant data protection laws, and safeguard confidential data through responsible handling. We use digital technologies securely to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all information in our projects.

10. Code: Compliance and Legal Standards
We require all employees to comply with applicable laws and regulations, especially in the areas of competition law, data protection, anti-corruption and anti-bribery. Regular training ensures that they understand and responsibly implement compliance requirements.

11. Code: Responsibility and Implementation
Management and employees are obliged to adhere to this Code. Regular training and internal communication strengthen awareness of these guidelines. Violations of the Code can be reported anonymously, protected by the Whistleblower Protection Act.
