Placemaking in our own practice: The Berlin office continues to grow

We design spaces that have to do more than simply look good — spaces that enable encounters, make collaboration easier and create that special energy when people meet by chance and start a conversation.

That’s why we didn’t just expand our Berlin office — we rethought it with intention. Alongside new meeting rooms, a new everyday focal point has emerged: an open front area designed as a place of arrival and connection. It’s where the first coffee happens, quick updates are shared between meetings and spontaneous exchanges take place — a space that quietly strengthens our sense of team.

For us, this is placemaking on a smaller scale: making identity tangible, guiding use intuitively and enabling interaction — without the need for explanation. And that’s what makes it feel right. Our way of working becomes spatially visible, exactly where we spend our days — with ourselves.
