Offices of tomorrow with Space for Creativity: "The Long Night of Architecture 2019"
Munich, 11 January 2019. On 18 January, 2019, "The Long Night of Architecture" will be held in Munich for the fifth time as part of BAU 2019, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. Visitors to the event will be able to view re-conceptualised working environments where design and employee wellbeing take centre stage. "The evening is an event for all architecture enthusiasts. Which is why we are delighted to be represented by multiple properties," explains Timo Brehme, Managing Partner of the international architecture and consulting company CSMM.
In architectural terms, Munich has a lot to offer in "The Long Night of Architecture 2019“
During the course of the evening event, architecture fans will have the opportunity to view Munich's buildings from a different perspective and also take a look at properties that are not normally open to the public.
"Creative office concepts are becoming increasingly important as the working world continues to evolve," says Brehme. The event will feature a number of properties designed and built by CSMM, including Brainlab AG’s offices in Riem, Reply's offices in the Nove complex and the redesigned building structure for DLA Piper in the Palais an der Oper in Maximilianstrasse. The multi-award-winning architecture and consulting company will also be opening its own doors to the public. According to Brehme, the company’s own Hub & Home in WERK3 in the east of Munich, which was awarded the German Design Award 2019, showcases a space that combines aesthetic and productivity-enhancing aspects in equal measures. The idea of the office as both a hub and a home is an answer to the questions surrounding the future of the office. It is inspired by the PRÄGEWELT project undertaken by the Institut für Sozialwissenschaftliche Forschung (Institute of Socio-Scientific Research). Over an area of nearly 700 square meters, communal areas, meeting spaces and places for peaceful retreat together with lounges and individually designed and sustainable furniture enhance creativity, knowledge-sharing and innovation.
CSMM in WERK3 and the offices of the company Reply in Munich’s Nove office complex are part of the subject-based tour "Innovativ und flexibel – neue Bürokonzepte für Arbeit ohne Grenzen" (Innovative and Flexible – New Office Complexes for Barrier-free Working). As such, two of the three stops on this exclusive subject-based tour are designed by CSMM.
"The Long Night of Architecture 2019" is being held between 7 pm and midnight on 18 January. Over 50 properties in and around Munich will be featured and around 35,000 visitors are expected. Some exhibitors will be offering additional architecture-themed talks and guides. The event is organized by the company Messe München GmbH.
