With the move into a revitalised office building, Axpo is making a clear statement about modern working environments and contemporary spatial design. The concept combines open-plan workspace with private and shared offices, creating a balanced environment that supports communication, collaboration and focused work alike.

Particular attention was given to the design of the entrance area and the tea kitchen, conceived as a working cafeteria and central social hub. The aim was to create spaces with a strong sense of identity and a high quality of stay. This generous area was designed to accommodate shared lunches and breaks, while also serving as a flexible setting for events, meetings and informal gatherings.

A defining feature of the design is the continuous bespoke joinery concept: custom-made furniture elements run like a connecting thread throughout the entire office, structuring and organising the workspace. These integrated elements provide essential infrastructure such as standing meeting points, retreat areas, waste stations and phone booths, while also incorporating comfortable seating niches that encourage informal exchange and open up views towards the terrace. The built-in features support both collaborative interaction and individual concentration.

A particular highlight is the deliberate use of colour within the joinery elements. These not only give the spaces a strong visual identity, but also introduce vibrant accents that aid orientation and shape the overall atmosphere. The concept is further enhanced by an abundance of greenery: numerous plants enrich the workplace visually, improve the indoor climate and contribute to an inspiring environment. The result is a workspace that is both highly functional and aesthetically engaging, fully aligned with the demands of contemporary working culture.
